  • Author: Thomas
  • Total Time: 5 hours 10 minutes
  • Yield: 6 popsicles 1x
  • Diet: Vegetarian

Description

Enjoy a refreshing and natural treat with these Homemade Strawberry Popsicles made from fresh strawberries, sugar, and a hint of lemon juice. Perfect for hot days, these easy-to-make popsicles require no cooking and provide a sweet, fruity snack that’s both satisfying and healthy.

Ingredients

Scale

Strawberry Mixture

  • 1 ½ pounds fresh strawberries (washed, hulled, and chopped)
  • ½ cup granulated sugar
  • ½ cup water
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice (optional)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Strawberry Blend: Combine the fresh strawberries, granulated sugar, and water in a blender. Add the lemon juice if desired, then blend the mixture until it’s completely smooth.
  2. Fill the Molds: Carefully pour the blended strawberry mixture into the popsicle molds, filling each cavity evenly to ensure consistent freezing.
  3. Insert Sticks and Cover: Place the lids on the popsicle molds and insert the popsicle sticks into their designated slots securely.
  4. Freeze the Popsicles: Place the molds in the freezer and allow them to freeze for at least 5 hours or until fully solidified.
  5. Release the Popsicles: Remove the popsicle molds from the freezer and run the outside of the molds under warm water for 10-20 seconds. This helps loosen the popsicles for easy removal.
  6. Serve or Store: Enjoy the popsicles immediately for best texture, or individually wrap each popsicle in small plastic bags, seal them, and store in the freezer for later indulgence.

Notes

  • Adjust the sugar amount according to the sweetness of your strawberries for a perfectly balanced flavor.
  • Lemon juice is optional but adds a nice tangy brightness to enhance the strawberry flavor.
  • For a creamier texture, consider adding a splash of yogurt or coconut milk to the blend.
  • Make sure the popsicles are fully frozen before attempting to remove them to avoid breaking.
  • Store popsicles in airtight bags to prevent freezer burn and maintain freshness.
