Description

This rich and creamy Hot Cocoa Fluff is a decadent dip perfect for the holiday season or cozy gatherings. Made with cream cheese, Marshmallow Fluff, hot cocoa mix, heavy cream, and cocoa powder, it whips up into a smooth, fluffy dip that pairs wonderfully with cookies, graham crackers, and fresh strawberries for an indulgent treat.

Ingredients

Scale

Main Ingredients

  • 1 (8-oz.) package cream cheese, room temperature
  • 1 cup Marshmallow Fluff
  • 3/4 cup plus 2 tablespoons hot cocoa mix (from about 4 [1.38-oz.] packets)
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder

For Serving (Optional)

  • Whipped cream
  • Mini marshmallows
  • Holiday sprinkles
  • Oreos, graham crackers, shortbread cookies, peppermint sandwich cookies, and/or whole strawberries for dipping

Instructions

  1. Beat Cream Cheese and Fluff: In the large bowl of a stand mixer fitted with the paddle attachment, beat the room temperature cream cheese and Marshmallow Fluff on medium-high speed until the mixture is light and fluffy, about 1 minute.
  2. Combine Cocoa Ingredients: Add the hot cocoa mix, heavy cream, and unsweetened cocoa powder to the bowl. Beat on low speed until just combined, about 1 to 2 minutes.
  3. Whip Until Smooth: Increase the mixer speed to medium-high and continue beating the mixture until the dip is smooth and the cocoa mix has fully dissolved, about 2 to 3 minutes.
  4. Serve with Toppings and Dippers: Transfer the dip to a serving bowl. If desired, top with whipped cream, mini marshmallows, and holiday sprinkles. Serve with Oreos, graham crackers, shortbread cookies, peppermint sandwich cookies, and/or whole strawberries for dipping.

Notes

  • Use room temperature cream cheese for easier mixing and a smoother dip.
  • Adjust the amount of hot cocoa mix depending on your preferred chocolate intensity and sweetness.
  • For a lighter version, substitute half-and-half for heavy cream, though this may affect fluffiness.
  • This dip is best served fresh but can be refrigerated covered for up to 2 days. Stir well before serving if chilled.
  • Try different dippers such as pretzels or fruit slices for variety.
