  • Diet: Vegetarian

Description

A refreshing and nutritious Lemon, Ginger, and Spinach Smoothie packed with fresh fruits, vibrant spinach, and a zing of ginger. Perfect for a healthy breakfast or an energizing snack, this smoothie combines the natural sweetness of banana and apple with the tartness of lemon and the subtle minty flavor of spearmint leaves. Blended with apple juice and ice cubes, it offers a cool and revitalizing drink that’s both delicious and wholesome.

Ingredients

Scale

Fruits and Vegetables

  • 1 Banana
  • 1 tbsp fresh grated Ginger
  • ½ Lemon, juiced (freshly squeezed)
  • 1 small Apple, peeled and seeded
  • 1 handful Baby spinach (¾ cup)
  • 12 Spearmint leaves (optional)

Liquids and Others

  • 100 ml Apple juice (½ cup)
  • 5 Ice cubes (plus extra for serving)

Instructions

  1. Peel and grate ginger and apple: Begin by peeling the fresh ginger and grating it finely. Peel the apple, then remove its seeds to prepare it for blending.
  2. Add all ingredients to blender: Place the banana, grated ginger, freshly squeezed lemon juice, peeled apple, baby spinach, spearmint leaves (if using), apple juice, and ice cubes into your blender.
  3. Blend until smooth: Blend all the ingredients at high speed until the mixture is smooth and creamy. If the smoothie is too thick, add a little more apple juice and blend again.
  4. Serve and enjoy: Pour the smoothie into glasses, adding some extra ice cubes if desired to keep it chilled. Serve immediately for the best flavor and freshness.

Notes

  • Using freshly grated ginger gives the smoothie a bright and authentic zing.
  • Spearmint leaves are optional but add a refreshing herbal note.
  • Adjust the thickness with additional apple juice to your preference.
  • For a colder smoothie, freeze the banana beforehand or add more ice cubes.
  • Use organic produce when possible for the freshest taste and nutritional benefits.
