  • Author: Thomas
  • Total Time: 1 hour 15 minutes
  • Yield: 8 servings 1x

Description

Snickers Salad is a creamy, fruity dessert salad combining crisp apples, chopped Snickers bars, instant vanilla pudding, and whipped topping, drizzled with caramel and chocolate syrup, and topped with crunchy peanuts. This easy-to-make, no-cook dish is perfect for potlucks and family gatherings.

Ingredients

Scale

Fruits

  • 2 green apples, chopped into 1-inch pieces
  • 2 red apples, chopped into 1-inch pieces

Dessert Mix

  • 6 king size Snickers bars (or 12 snack size Snickers bars), chopped into bite-sized pieces
  • 1 container instant vanilla pudding mix (5 ounces, not prepared)
  • 12 ounces Cool Whip, thawed

Toppings

  • 1/3 cup caramel ice cream topping
  • 1/4 cup peanuts, chopped
  • 2 tablespoons chocolate syrup

Instructions

  1. Prepare the whipped mixture: In a large mixing bowl, combine the thawed Cool Whip and instant vanilla pudding mix. Stir thoroughly until the mixture is smooth and fully blended.
  2. Combine apples and Snickers: Chop the green and red apples into bite-sized pieces and also chop the Snickers bars into similar sized chunks. Fold these chopped ingredients gently into the whipped topping mixture until evenly distributed.
  3. Add toppings and chill: Drizzle the caramel ice cream topping and chocolate syrup over the salad. Sprinkle the chopped peanuts on top for added texture and flavor. Cover the dish and refrigerate for at least 1 hour to allow the flavors to meld and the salad to chill before serving.

Notes

  • Use both green and red apples for a balance of tartness and sweetness.
  • Chilling the salad improves flavor melding and texture.
  • Can be made a few hours ahead of serving and kept refrigerated.
  • For a nut-free version, omit peanuts and use nut-free caramel and chocolate toppings.
