Ingredients
Scale
Ingredients
- 16 ounces Velveeta cheese, cut into cubes
- 1 (10 ounce) can Rotel diced tomatoes and green chilies, undrained
- 1 pound ground hamburger (ground beef)
Instructions
- Brown the Hamburger: In a large skillet over medium heat, brown the ground hamburger until fully cooked and no longer pink, breaking it up into small pieces as it cooks. Drain any excess fat if necessary.
- Add Velveeta and Rotel: Reduce heat to low, then add the cubed Velveeta cheese and the entire can of undrained Rotel to the skillet with the cooked hamburger.
- Stir Until Melted: Continuously stir the mixture until the Velveeta is completely melted and the dip is smooth and creamy throughout.
- Serve: Transfer the dip to a serving dish or serve directly from the skillet. Enjoy warm with your choice of tortilla chips, crackers, or fresh vegetable sticks.
Notes
- For a spicier dip, use Hot Rotel instead of Mild.
- Ground turkey or chicken can be substituted for hamburger for a leaner option.
- To keep the dip warm during a party, keep it in a slow cooker on the low setting.
- Add extra diced jalapeños or chili powder for additional heat and flavor.
- Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days and reheat gently to avoid separating.
